A new report from Coursera shows that online learning is fueling significant career advancement among professionals in the UAE.
The 2025 Learner Outcomes Report, developed in partnership with The Harris Poll, highlights how digital education is helping individuals gain valuable skills, boost confidence, and progress in their careers.
According to the report, 89% of UAE learners achieved positive career outcomes after completing Coursera courses. More than half reported salary increases, 34% improved their performance at work, and 30% advanced to higher job levels.
Beyond professional gains, online learning also drove personal growth. An impressive 96% of UAE learners reported increased confidence, while 95% cited greater self-assurance, a stronger sense of accomplishment, and new opportunities for advancement.
Learners also enhanced key soft skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration, while strengthening technical capabilities in business intelligence, project management, data analysis, and AI—skills vital to the UAE’s future-ready workforce.

The report also highlights Coursera Coach, an AI-powered personalized guide, with 94% of users worldwide reporting improved learning outcomes.
