Creators HQ and Meta brought together 30 prominent content creators for a visit to the Rashid Centre for People of Determination, marking a key moment in their Creators for Purpose programme.
The visit highlighted the growing role of digital creators in driving social impact across the UAE.
The group, whose combined following exceeds 100 million, toured the centre as part of the wider 1 Billion Acts of Kindness campaign led by the 1 Billion Followers Summit and global creator MrBeast. The initiative encourages creators worldwide to highlight acts of kindness and community work.
Well-known regional creators including Sarah Abdulla, Narin Amara, Mr Taster, Manal Rostom, Maryam AlKhalidi, and others spent the day engaging with students, learning about the centre’s programmes, and joining various educational and recreational activities.
Sarah Abdulla is producing a documentary that captures the visit, the children’s achievements, and the centre’s efforts to build confidence and support integration. She said creators have a responsibility to share meaningful stories that inspire positivity and highlight the potential of children of determination.
Participants also met with staff and volunteers whose ongoing work underlines strong community engagement at the centre. The immersive experience offered creators insight into the challenges faced by the students and encouraged them to share their stories with wider audiences.
The initiative underscores the impact of the Creators for Purpose programme, the first of its kind in the region, designed to empower creators to produce high-value social impact content on Instagram and Facebook. Meta’s decision to launch the programme from the UAE reflects the country’s growing influence as a global hub for the creator economy.
Content creators can join the 1 Billion Acts of Kindness campaign by submitting videos of their community initiatives until 1 December 2025. The top ten creators will be announced at the 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai in January 2026.
