DAMAC Group Partners with Dubai Games for Three-Year Strategic Collaboration
The Organising Committee of Dubai Games, Dubai’s premier team sports event, has announced a three-year partnership with DAMAC Group, solidifying its commitment to enhancing the city’s status as a global sports hub.
The event, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Deputy Prime Minister, will see DAMAC’s active involvement in the upcoming editions of the games.
Ali Sajwani, Managing Director of DAMAC Properties, expressed excitement over the collaboration, stating,
“Dubai Games exemplifies teamwork, resilience, and innovation. We are thrilled to continue supporting the event and look forward to seeing it grow bigger and more exciting in the coming years.”
He emphasized DAMAC's dedication to fostering a culture of excellence, determination, and community involvement through this partnership.
Marwan bin Essa, Director of Dubai Games, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, saying,
“This partnership with DAMAC strengthens our commitment to making Dubai a leading global sports destination. Together, we will elevate the event’s prominence, reinforcing Dubai’s role in hosting world-class competitions.”
The Dubai Games 2025 will feature over 240 teams competing across four categories: Battle of the Government, Battle of the Community, Battle of the Cities, and Battle of the Juniors. The event offers a prize pool exceeding AED 3.1 million. The championship will kick off in February 2025, with qualifiers for the Battle of the Community and Battle of the Juniors held at DAMAC Hills and the main competition running from 20th to 23rd February at Dubai Festival City.
This strategic partnership underscores the power of public-private collaboration in driving Dubai’s growth as a vibrant, dynamic city with a strong sports culture.
