DCAA Partners with Keeta Drones to Boost Drone Delivery Operations in Dubai
In a move to strengthen Dubai's position as a global aviation hub, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Keeta Drones.
The agreement focuses on advancing drone-based delivery services while ensuring the highest levels of safety and security in the skies, in line with both local and international aviation standards.
The MoU was signed by H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Lengawi, Director General of DCAA, and Dr. Yinian Mao, Chairman of Keeta Drones. The collaboration will primarily focus on evaluating and approving drone operation zones across Dubai, which involves assessing infrastructure, airspace, and safety requirements to ensure the safe integration of drone delivery services.
H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Lengawi emphasized that the partnership is in line with Dubai's vision to lead in emerging aviation technologies, fostering a regulatory framework that ensures safety while enabling innovation.
"We are focused on creating a model environment where companies can test and implement drone delivery solutions securely,"
he said.
Dr. Yinian Mao of Keeta Drones expressed excitement over the partnership, highlighting that it would expedite the company's expansion in Dubai.
"With DCAA’s support, we will establish routes and offer more services, contributing to Dubai's goal of becoming a smart transportation leader,"
Mao stated.
The MoU also aims to strengthen coordination for enhancing airspace security and safety, helping facilitate the establishment of new drone flight paths. The partnership is expected to contribute to the growth of Dubai’s low-altitude aviation economy and further solidify the emirate’s reputation as a hub for innovative transportation solutions.
