Deloitte Unveils Key Reports at World Government Summit 2025

Deloitte, the global professional services leader, has reaffirmed its role as the official Knowledge Partner for the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2025 for the 11th consecutive year. On the event's opening day, the firm released two pivotal reports focused on government transformation and capability building.

Mutasem Dajani, CEO of Deloitte Middle East, emphasized the growing importance of digital sovereignty and workforce transformation as governments navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape. He highlighted that the WGS 2025 provides an ideal platform for Deloitte to offer valuable insights to policymakers, enabling them to harness emerging technologies for resilient public sector growth.

The first report, "Sovereignty in AI and Cloud," delves into the significance of digital sovereignty, particularly in artificial intelligence and cloud computing. With global data generation set to reach 149 zettabytes by the end of 2024, the report discusses the challenges governments face in managing data protection, regulatory compliance, and ethical AI standards. It also explores sovereign cloud solutions, ensuring data remains secure and compliant within national borders.

The second report, "Driven by Skills: Unlocking the Potential of the Public-Sector Workforce in GCC," examines the evolving workforce dynamics in the GCC region. It advocates for skills-based workforce development over traditional job models to enhance government agility and innovation. The report outlines how GCC nations can overcome workforce challenges and implement best practices to support national goals amid rising demands for agile public services.

Muhannad Tayem, Deloitte’s Government and Public Services Leader, noted that digital transformation, coupled with AI and cloud sovereignty, is essential for future-proofing public sectors globally.
