A high-level delegation from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), led by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO, engaged in strategic discussions with Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) officials during a recent meeting in Los Angeles, USA.
The DEWA delegation was welcomed by Richard Katz, President of the Los Angeles Board of Water and Power Commissioners, Janisse Quiñones, LADWP CEO and Chief Engineer, and prominent California government officials, including Bob Hertzberg, Senior Advisor to Mission Possible Partnership, and Ted Bardacke, CEO of Clean Power Alliance.
The discussions, attended by senior advisors from the U.S. Department of Energy and environmental leaders like David Abel from VerdeXchange, focused on exchanging insights in sustainable energy, water management, and future-ready technologies. Al Tayer, joined by DEWA executives Waleed bin Salman, Marwan bin Haidar, Loh Lim Huat, Ghanim Al Qassim, and Humaid Al Hammadi, emphasized DEWA’s commitment to international collaboration on sustainability.
During the meeting, DEWA and LADWP explored ways to advance renewable energy integration, energy storage, and sustainable water resource management. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer remarked,
