DEWA and MBRSG Partner to Empower Emirati Leaders in Sustainability and Innovation
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has partnered with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) to enhance the leadership skills of Emirati employees as part of the 6th batch of DEWA’s Frontiers Leadership Development Programme.
The agreement, signed by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, and HE Dr Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, aims to prepare Emirati youth for leadership roles in sustainability, clean energy, and other advanced sectors.
The programme aligns with the UAE’s vision for empowering youth and preparing them to contribute to national goals such as the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050. The initiative focuses on developing leadership skills, strategic thinking, and innovation, with participants undergoing a series of virtual workshops, seminars, and educational programmes over 10 months.
Launched in 2007, DEWA’s Frontiers Leadership Programme has already graduated 130 employees. The latest batch will benefit from MBRSG’s expertise in public administration and the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, equipping them to tackle global challenges and support the UAE’s Centennial 2071 goals.
The programme covers self-development, team development, and organisational development, focusing on leadership skills such as communication, creative thinking, and strategic leadership.
