Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has wrapped up its 15th Future Engineer summer camp, showcasing a commitment to nurturing the next generation of scientific leaders.

Held at DEWA Academy in Al Hudaiba, the camp hosted 30 participants, aged 11 to 14, all children of DEWA employees.

The camp focused on enhancing students’ knowledge and skills in key areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), 3D printing, cybersecurity, and composite mechanical structures. Activities included hands-on workshops, educational sessions, and a visit to Ski Dubai, all designed to foster personal growth, scientific understanding, and creative thinking.

DEWA's initiative aims to prepare students for future careers by promoting innovation and scientific research. The camp is tailored to suit the cognitive abilities and ages of participants, offering practical experiences to fuel their interest in science and technology.

Feedback from parents was overwhelmingly positive. They praised DEWA for creating a stimulating environment that encourages their children to explore and excel in scientific fields. Ibrahim Hashim, whose daughter Rana participated, commended DEWA for nurturing her passion for knowledge. Moteb Salem, father of Abdullah, highlighted the camp's role in skill development and future readiness.

The Future Engineer camp has successfully engaged 464 children of DEWA employees over its 15 editions, maintaining a 100% satisfaction rate among students and parents in the latest session. This program continues to underscore DEWA’s dedication to investing in youth and fostering a future of innovation and sustainability.
