Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is using the World Future Energy Summit 2026 in Abu Dhabi to spotlight its most ambitious clean energy projects and advanced digital initiatives, reinforcing the UAE’s push to lead the global transition to sustainable energy and smart infrastructure.

The summit, hosted by Masdar and running from January 13 to 15 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, features DEWA’s showcase in Hall 5, where visitors can explore key developments shaping the future of energy and water in Dubai and beyond.

At the centre of DEWA’s exhibit is the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, currently the world’s largest single-site solar park using the independent power producer model. Its capacity has reached 3,860 megawatts and is set to exceed 8,000 megawatts by 2030, a 60 percent increase from the original plan. Clean energy now accounts for more than 21.5 percent of DEWA’s total capacity and is projected to reach 36 percent by 2030, cutting over 8.5 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

DEWA is also presenting Al Shera’a, its upcoming headquarters in Al Jaddaf, designed to be a net-positive government building powered by advanced technologies including artificial intelligence, IoT and big data. The project targets top global sustainability certifications.

Additional highlights include the Sustainability and Innovation Centre and the Research and Development Centre, which has registered 64 patents, as well as the EV Green Charger network with more than 1,700 charging points across Dubai.

Moro Hub, DEWA’s digital subsidiary, is showcasing AI-driven security, cloud and green data centre solutions that support smart and sustainable digital transformation.
