Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has been named the Strategic Sustainability Partner of the Arab Media Summit 2025, reinforcing its role in promoting sustainable development through the power of media.
Announced by the Dubai Press Club, organiser of the Summit, the partnership aligns with Dubai’s broader vision to position itself as a global hub for innovation, media excellence and environmental leadership. The event, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will take place from 26–28 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Arab Media Summit serves as the region’s premier platform for dialogue, bringing together key media events including the Arab Media Forum, the Arab Youth Media Forum and the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit. The Summit is expected to draw leading political figures, media professionals, digital creators and decision-makers from across the Arab world and beyond.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, said the partnership reflects DEWA’s belief in the media’s critical role in driving awareness on sustainability, climate action and emerging technologies. He noted the collaboration underscores DEWA’s commitment to supporting national initiatives that bolster Dubai’s leadership in green development.
Mona Al Marri, President of the Dubai Press Club, welcomed the continued partnership, praising DEWA as a national model for integrating sustainability and innovation. She said the collaboration reinforces the Summit’s goal of empowering the media sector and advancing the region’s sustainable development agenda.
The Summit will also celebrate media excellence through the Arab Media Award, the Arab Social Media Influencers Award and the Ibda’a – Arab Youth Media Award.
