The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has been named Strategic Sustainability Partner for the upcoming Arab Media Summit, reinforcing Dubai’s push to align media leadership with sustainability goals and green economic development ahead of the event’s 2026 edition.
Organised by the Dubai Press Club, the summit will take place from 31 March to 2 April 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the directives of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The event is expected to attract more than 8,000 media professionals, policymakers, writers and content creators from across the Arab world and beyond.
The partnership highlights a shared commitment to advancing sustainability and innovation within the media sector while supporting the UAE’s transition toward a green economy. Organisers said the collaboration aligns with the summit’s broader vision of strengthening media contributions to sustainable development across the region.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, said the media plays a vital role in shaping informed public discourse and empowering communities to support progress and environmental responsibility. He noted that the summit provides an opportunity to showcase DEWA’s initiatives in energy transition, sustainability and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, while encouraging community engagement toward net zero goals.
Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, emphasised the longstanding partnership between the two institutions. She said the collaboration strengthens awareness of sustainability priorities and promotes responsible dialogue on climate neutrality and resource conservation.
The 2026 edition is set to be the largest since the launch of the Arab Media Forum in 2001, featuring forums, workshops and side events exploring key developments across the regional media landscape.
