DEWA Migrates to SAP RISE for Enhanced Digital Transformation and Data Security
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), in partnership with Moro Hub, the digital subsidiary of Digital DEWA, has successfully transitioned its SAP Hana Enterprise Cloud to SAP RISE.
This significant migration, hosted at Moro Hub’s environmentally friendly data centres, is set to strengthen DEWA’s digital capabilities, enhancing scalability, flexibility, and innovation through advanced cloud infrastructure.
Moro Hub’s green data centres are powered by cutting-edge AI and IoT technologies, enabling DEWA to bolster its cybersecurity, data storage, and cloud-based service delivery. The centres are certified by the Dubai Electronic Security Centre, ensuring robust data security measures to protect against cyber threats.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, highlighted that the migration supports DEWA’s mission to deliver high-quality, reliable services while advancing Dubai’s position in digital innovation. Al Tayer noted,
“The migration to the SAP RISE platform aligns with our commitment to harness digital technologies and AI to improve performance and quality of life,”
adding that this move aligns with the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031 and Dubai’s 10X initiative for futuristic governance.
Moro Hub, a certified SAP Hana Enterprise Cloud provider since 2018 and SAP RISE partner since 2022, hosts the world’s largest solar-powered data centre, recognized by Guinness World Records. This collaboration is expected to drive DEWA’s digital transformation further, supporting streamlined operations and advanced AI-driven solutions for customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
