Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced its platinum sponsorship of the 27th Dubai International Holy Quran Award.
This esteemed award stands as a beacon among global recognitions for the Holy Quran, uniting scholars, preachers, and Quran reciters from across the world.
“The award, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has become one of the most prominent awards in the world, with a primary objective of fostering a spirit of competition in Holy Quran memorisation. The award motivates the younger generations to adhere to their religion and fulfil their responsibilities towards Islam, which is based on goodness, tolerance, and cohesion. The award reflects Dubai and the UAE’s commitment to caring for the Holy Quran, honouring its memorisers, and consolidating noble human and Islamic values and principles in the hearts of society members,”
said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
"We commend the efforts of the Award organisers in honouring distinguished individuals and organisations that serve Islam globally, supporting Holy Quran memorisers from across the globe, and showcasing the UAE's commitment to serving the Holy Quran and recognising those who memorise and recite it,"
he added.
Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Head of the Award Organising Committee, expressed sincere gratitude for DEWA's longstanding sponsorship of the award, which commenced over twenty-five years ago at its inception.
