Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has posted its strongest financial and operational results to date, delivering record revenue, profitability, and production levels in 2025, driven by rising demand and continued efficiency across its core businesses.
According to DEWA’s preliminary and unaudited consolidated results, the Group recorded revenue of AED32.84 billion, EBITDA of AED17.37 billion, and net profit after tax of AED9.09 billion. Revenue rose 6.02 percent year on year, while profit after tax climbed 25.66 percent compared to 2024.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DEWA, said the performance reflects the organisation’s commitment to excellence, sustainability, and supporting Dubai’s long-term development. He noted that clean power generation exceeded 10 terawatt-hours for the first time, reinforcing progress towards the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 vision.
Electricity generation reached 62.21 terawatt-hours, up 5.10 percent, while clean power output surged 52.38 percent to 10.10 terawatt-hours, accounting for 16.23 percent of total production. Annual peak power demand rose to 11.39 gigawatts.
Desalinated water demand increased 6.62 percent to a record 161.505 billion imperial gallons, with daily peak demand hitting 487 million imperial gallons. Customer accounts grew by 4.48 percent to 1.33 million.
DEWA invested AED11.72 billion during the year, primarily in renewable energy, desalination facilities, and network infrastructure. Installed generation capacity reached 17,979 megawatts, including 3,860 megawatts from clean energy.
Profit after tax covered the annual dividend of AED6.2 billion by around 1.46 times, supporting DEWA’s resilient dividend profile, with the second-half 2025 dividend expected around April 2026, subject to shareholder approval.
