The Dubai Health Authority (DHA), in partnership with Roche Diagnostics Middle East, hosted the “NABIDH Elevate” workshop, emphasizing the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) and diagnostic integration in reshaping Dubai’s healthcare system.
An ongoing collaboration with the private sector, the workshop showcased advancements in the NABIDH platform, which will soon incorporate imaging data to further Dubai’s digital health innovation. NABIDH, or the Network & Analysis Backbone for Integrated Dubai Health, has unified over 9.47 million patient records, connecting more than 1,300 healthcare facilities. Currently, 81% of Dubai’s healthcare professionals actively use the platform, enabling streamlined access to comprehensive medical histories for personalized patient care.
Mona Bajman, CEO of DHA’s Shared Support Services Sector, highlighted AI’s pivotal role in transforming healthcare.
“AI enhances service quality, streamlines processes, enables early diagnosis, and improves treatment outcomes,”
she stated, reaffirming DHA’s commitment to advanced smart solutions aligned with Dubai’s health sustainability goals.
Bajman emphasized the platform’s capabilities in securely unifying patient records for both public and private sectors, ensuring data privacy and accuracy. She also outlined plans to integrate diagnostic data, advancing NABIDH’s unified medical record initiative and bolstering Dubai’s digital health competitiveness.
Dr. Mohammed Al Redha, Director of DHA’s Health Informatics and Smart Health Department, called the platform’s diagnostic and AI integration pivotal.
“This expansion supports real-time, comprehensive insights into patient health, positioning Dubai as a global leader in advanced healthcare,”
he said.
The workshop exemplifies Dubai’s vision for a cutting-edge healthcare ecosystem, blending AI and digital innovation to deliver superior patient outcomes and global leadership in smart healthcare strategies.
