The Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) achieved record-breaking results in 2023, with total trade across its economic zones—Dubai Airport Free Zone, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Dubai CommerCity—reaching AED 282 billion, marking a significant 33% growth compared to 2022.

DIEZ's economic zones played a crucial role in Dubai's non-oil trade, contributing 13.5% to the total in 2023, up from 11.4% the previous year.

Imports through DIEZ surged by 48%, totaling AED 157.6 billion, while exports exceeded AED 1 billion for the first time, reaching AED 7.8 billion—an over seven-fold increase from 2022. Re-exports also rose to AED 116.1 billion.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of DIEZ, highlighted the strategic importance of these achievements in supporting Dubai's ambitious economic goals, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ, emphasized the authority’s commitment to continuous growth, innovation, and the development of Dubai’s economic zones.

Strategic partnerships played a significant role in DIEZ’s success, with China leading the list with AED 89.9 billion in trade, followed by India, Iraq, Vietnam, the United States, and Turkey. DIEZ also saw a 15.3% increase in registered companies and a 64.6% rise in operating profits.

DIEZ's new strategy aims to further enhance Dubai’s position as a leading global investment hub, focusing on empowering businesses, enriching economic life, and building a sustainable economy in an increasingly competitive global market.
