Digital Dubai has unveiled its new Parental Control Guidebook, aimed at helping families navigate the complexities of the digital age.

Under the banner "Be with them in the digital space...and they will stay safe," this initiative reflects Digital Dubai's commitment to enhancing digital safety for children and families.

Tariq Al Janahi, CEO of the Corporate Enablement Sector at Digital Dubai, underscored the guidebook's importance in light of the pervasive use of social media and the considerable time children spend online.

"We are committed to our community, and the ‘Parental Control Guidebook’ is a crucial tool designed to improve the quality of digital life for families,"

Al Janahi stated.

"Safety begins at home, and equipping parents with the knowledge to guide their children through the digital landscape is essential."

Hamda Bin Demaithan, Director of the Strategy & Performance Department at Digital Dubai, highlighted that the guidebook incorporates global best practices while addressing local needs.

"The guide aims to help families ensure their children's safety across the internet, social media, and electronic games. It is tailored for 2024 and 2025 and will be updated to stay current with technological advancements."

The guidebook includes crucial information such as an introduction to family protection, general parental guidelines, a review of social media applications, legal and cultural considerations, and resources for safe online browsing. This initiative is part of Digital Dubai's broader mission to foster a safe and inspiring digital environment, aligning with its goals of digital transformation and community well-being.
