At GITEX Global 2024, Digital Dubai unveiled the formation of the “Digital Dubai Youth Council,” aimed at amplifying youth participation in innovation and future-building initiatives.
The announcement was made by Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai, from the Dubai Government Pavilion.
The council, led by Reem Al Falasi and supported by Vice President Khalifa Juma Bin Thaleth, includes a diverse group of young professionals representing various departments. Members consist of Abdel Khaliq Murad Mohammed Ahmed, Maitha Nasser Muthanna Nasser, Badr Abdullah Khalaf Al Ghaith, Maryam Sufian bin Suloom Al Falasi, and General Coordinator Hamda bin Zayed Al Falasi.
Tariq Yousef Al Janahi, CEO of the Corporate Enablement Sector at Digital Dubai, emphasized the initiative's alignment with the leadership's vision to empower youth as leaders in digital transformation.
“We believe in our exceptional young talents and their role in making our future promising,”
he stated, highlighting the council’s role in fostering innovation and preparing future leaders in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Hassan Sabt, President of the Dubai Youth Council, praised the formation of the council as a pivotal step toward enabling youth to shape Dubai’s digital future. He reaffirmed the belief that youth are essential for achieving innovation and sustainability in technology.
Reem Al Falasi expressed gratitude for the trust placed in the council, pledging to engage effectively with other youth councils across Dubai and the UAE to ensure mutual growth and collaboration. The council aims to enhance youth contributions to innovative projects and promote ideas that align with national ambitions, ultimately creating a dynamic work environment rooted in creativity.
