Digital Dubai has entered into a strategic partnership with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) to strengthen procurement practices and advance workforce development across the government sector.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Dubai in the presence of H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, by H.E. Tariq Al Janahi, CEO of Corporate Enablement Sector at Digital Dubai, and Sam Achampong, Regional Director of CIPS MENA.

Through the agreement, CIPS will deliver applied learning and globally recognised certification programmes over 18 months, equipping Digital Dubai’s procurement professionals with international best practices, ethical frameworks, and advanced competencies. Training sessions will be led by CIPS experts in Dubai.

Al Mansoori said the partnership reflects Digital Dubai’s commitment to building a future-ready government workforce capable of driving innovation and efficiency, while reinforcing the emirate’s position as a global leader in digital governance.

Achampong noted that procurement plays a critical role in enabling agility and value in public service, adding that the collaboration will empower professionals with the tools and confidence to support Dubai’s digital ambitions.

The initiative forms part of Digital Dubai’s wider strategy to foster continuous learning, promote ethical procurement, and build capacity for long-term sustainable progress.
