The Digital School has launched a new strategic partnership with Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Youth Development to strengthen digital education and expand opportunities for young people across the country.

The collaboration aims to equip Nigerian youth with advanced digital skills and increase their readiness for a rapidly evolving global economy.

Announced under Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, the partnership focuses on enhancing Nigeria’s digital learning ecosystem and supporting the development of a future-ready workforce. Both sides will work together to integrate technology and artificial intelligence tools into education and training programmes.

Ayodele Olawande, Nigeria’s Minister of Youth Development, said the agreement opens new avenues for skills development, innovation, and technology empowerment. He expressed appreciation to the UAE Government and the Digital School for their continued support in advancing digital education in Nigeria.

Dr. Waleed Al Ali, Secretary-General of the Digital School, noted that the initiative forms part of the school’s mission to empower youth with essential digital competencies. He said the collaboration reinforces efforts to build resilient educational systems aligned with global digital transformation.

A core element of the partnership is the expansion of the Nigerian Youth Academy into a national platform for digital learning, vocational training, and professional development. Supported by the Digital School’s Skills Academies, the initiative aims to prepare young people for practical career paths and emerging roles across multiple sectors.

The programme will offer targeted training designed to help youth transition from education to employment, foster entrepreneurship, and contribute to sustainable development goals. Since its launch in 2020, the Digital School has provided digital learning opportunities to more than 750,000 students worldwide and trained over 23,000 digital teachers.
