The 10th edition of the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF), held from January 13–16, 2025, concluded with 12 strategic recommendations aimed at reshaping urban development and project management on a global scale.

Organised by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event was co-hosted by DEWA, Emaar, DP World, and the Project Management Institute.

Held under the theme “Sustainable Future”, the Forum focused on four pillars: Sustainable Cities, Digital Transformation, Jobs of the Future, and Future-Centric Project Management—explored through 19 thematic tracks.

Key recommendations included prioritising inclusive urban design, integrating smart mobility and renewable energy, and promoting public-private partnerships to fund sustainable initiatives. The Forum called for embedding sustainability and circular economy principles throughout project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

On the digital front, participants urged the adoption of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to drive operational efficiency. Technologies such as digital twins, blockchain, and Robotic Process Automation were recommended to enhance project transparency and execution.

The Forum also emphasised upskilling in AI, robotics, and AR/VR, and proposed new roles like AI governance specialists to support the evolving project economy. A shift toward value-driven project management was encouraged, supported by intelligent, automated frameworks that align with stakeholder expectations and strategic objectives.

Moaza Saeed Al Marri, CEO of the Executive Affairs Sector at RTA and Chairperson of the Organising Committee, highlighted DIPMF’s growing global influence and its role in fostering innovation and collaboration. The RTA also showcased case studies including 3D printed abras, Al Khail Road upgrades, metro station enhancements, and AI platform deployment—reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to smart, sustainable mobility.
