DMCC has appointed Ali & Sons Contracting Company as the main contractor for the second phase of Uptown Dubai’s major development, marking a significant step forward in the transformation of one of Dubai’s most ambitious urban projects.
The announcement follows the successful completion of enabling works and signals the beginning of a new phase that will see the construction of two cutting-edge commercial towers. Together, the towers will add 62,000 square metres of Grade A commercial and retail space to the Uptown Dubai district, expanding its position as a premier business and lifestyle destination.
Strategically linked to the iconic Uptown Tower via a new bridge, the expansion aims to elevate the area’s accessibility and amenities, aligning with DMCC’s vision of a dynamic and future-focused urban hub.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, described the development as a “defining moment” for the district, highlighting the partnership with Ali & Sons Contracting as a reflection of DMCC’s focus on excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.
The construction will incorporate advanced technologies, including drone surveying, 3D planning tools, and off-site prefabrication, with a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and quality.
Shamis Ali bin Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman and Group Managing Director of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, expressed confidence in the collaboration, noting the shared commitment to delivering a project that meets the highest international standards.
The second phase is expected to reinforce Uptown Dubai’s standing as a global business destination and further contribute to the city’s growing reputation for architectural and infrastructural excellence.
