DMCC, the world's flagship free zone and the Government of Dubai's authority on commodities trade, has wrapped up its second Made for Trade Live roadshow of the year, with successful events in San Francisco, California, and Denver, Colorado. This initiative aims to deepen UAE-US trade and investment ties across key economic sectors.

The roadshow underscored the UAE's role as the largest recipient of US foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Middle East. DMCC showcased Dubai’s business-friendly environment, world-class infrastructure, and numerous opportunities for American firms. Presently, nearly 700 US companies operate within DMCC, representing over 45% of the estimated 1,500 American businesses in the UAE. Bilateral non-oil trade hit a record USD 31.4 billion in 2023, signaling substantial opportunities for American enterprises to expand their regional presence from Dubai.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, highlighted Dubai’s longstanding appeal to American companies. He emphasized the record trade and investment levels from last year and the city's continued attractiveness due to its market size, infrastructure, and business ease. DMCC, with nearly 700 US companies, represents almost half of the American business presence in the UAE and plans to further enhance its role in tech, AI, energy, and other sectors.

The roadshow events were organized in partnership with Airtifae, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, the Bay Area Council, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade, the World Trade Centre Denver, and the Denver Mile High City. DMCC’s Made for Trade Live series continues to play a crucial role in promoting Dubai as a premier business hub and attracting substantial FDI, contributing 15% to Dubai’s annual FDI inflows.
