DMCC launched its new DMCC FinX platform at the Dubai Precious Metals Conference 2025, underscoring Dubai’s ambition to strengthen its position as a global hub where trade, technology and finance converge.

The launch took place at Atlantis The Palm during the 13th edition of the conference, which brought together more than 1,000 leaders from the precious metals, finance, policy and technology sectors. This year’s discussions focused on how geopolitical shifts, new technologies and evolving trade corridors are reshaping global commodities markets.

Senior speakers included H.E. Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, LBMA Chief Executive Ruth Crowell and financial commentator Grant Williams. Panels addressed realignment in global trade flows, harmonisation of international standards, responsible sourcing and the changing role of bullion banks in a multipolar economy.

DMCC FinX was presented as a strategic expansion designed to connect capital market players, trade finance professionals and fintech innovators with DMCC’s ecosystem of more than 26,000 companies. Built on DMCC’s existing financial and commodities infrastructure, the platform aims to link real-world supply chains with capital markets and support the growth of tokenised assets.

Dr Al Zeyoudi highlighted the UAE’s strong precious metals performance, noting that gold trade through the country reached USD 186 billion in 2024. He emphasised the growing impact of tokenisation and blockchain on global value chains.

DMCC CEO Ahmed Bin Sulayem said the new platform builds on decades of investment in transparency and infrastructure, positioning Dubai to shape the future of how physical and digital assets are traded and financed.

The conference reaffirmed Dubai’s status as a major centre for physical and digital commodities, supported by more than 1,500 companies operating across its gold and precious metals ecosystem.
