DMCC has unveiled The Plaza at Uptown Dubai, a major new open-air venue designed to host international events and strengthen the district’s role as a global business and community destination.
Spanning 21,000 square metres and accommodating up to 4,000 guests, the new space marks a significant milestone in the ongoing development of Uptown Dubai as a centre for trade, innovation, and large-scale gatherings.
Located at the heart of Uptown Dubai, The Plaza serves as a central link connecting Uptown Tower with surrounding commercial and residential areas, enhancing accessibility and cohesion across the district. The venue is equipped with advanced staging, lighting, and digital display infrastructure, enabling year-round programming that includes corporate events, conferences, concerts, and public activations.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, described the opening as a defining step in the district’s evolution, positioning Uptown Dubai as a destination that blends business, culture, and community experiences while supporting Dubai’s ambition to remain one of the world’s leading cities for living, working, and investment.
The launch comes as Uptown Dubai enters its next phase of expansion. Two commercial towers currently under construction, rising 23 and 17 storeys respectively, will add 62,000 square metres of Grade A commercial and retail space to the district. Upon completion, the development is expected to deliver a total gross floor area of 538,000 square metres, including 232,000 square metres dedicated to premium office space.
As construction progresses, Uptown Dubai continues to position itself as an integrated business ecosystem aimed at attracting global talent, supporting long-term enterprise growth, and reinforcing Dubai’s standing as a leading international hub for trade and innovation.
