DMCC has signed a strategic partnership with Crypto.com to accelerate the use of tokenisation across global commodities markets, positioning Dubai at the forefront of next-generation trade infrastructure built on blockchain technology.

Under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, the two organisations will explore how blockchain can reduce settlement delays, improve price transparency and expand market access across key commodities, including precious metals, diamonds, energy and agricultural products.

The collaboration will assess the potential listing of tokenised commodities on the Crypto.com Exchange, subject to regulatory approvals and strict listing standards. It will also examine custody frameworks, liquidity solutions and the use of digital asset payments across DMCC’s digital platforms and selected member applications.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, said tokenisation represents a structural shift for an industry still reliant on legacy systems and slow settlement cycles. He noted that moving real-world assets on-chain could modernise how commodities are financed, traded and settled, while strengthening Dubai’s role in the future of global trade.

As part of the agreement, Crypto.com will work closely with the DMCC Crypto Centre to deliver educational and technical initiatives aimed at building institutional knowledge across Dubai’s growing Web3 ecosystem. Planned activities include workshops, hackathons and capability-building programmes for businesses exploring tokenised asset models.

Crypto.com executives said the partnership provides a scalable and responsible platform to develop real-world asset tokenisation and integrate blockchain with traditional financial infrastructure.

The agreement builds on DMCC’s earlier partnership with Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority and reinforces its position as a global hub for commodities trade and digital innovation, supporting a secure and compliant framework for tokenised assets worldwide.
