DMCC, the leading free zone and commodities trade authority in Dubai, has been honored with the 'Award of Excellence for Best Tall Building' and 'Construction' by the Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) for its Uptown Tower.

The accolade, bestowed by CTBUH in Chicago, acknowledges the tower's architectural innovation, sustainability, and urban impact. Designed by Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill, the tower's diamond-inspired façade and sustainable construction earned it LEED Gold status and compliance with Dubai's Green Building Regulation. The awards will be formally presented during CTBUH's 2024 International Conference in London on September 24-25.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, expressed pride in receiving the CTBUH Award of Excellence, affirming their commitment to creating a world-class landmark with Uptown Tower.

The tower, home to prestigious tenants like Invisalign and Wellbred, also hosts luxury amenities such as SO/ Uptown Dubai hotel and exclusive residences. Standing 340 meters tall with 81 storeys, Uptown Tower marks the first phase of DMCC's Uptown Dubai district, with further development underway, including two mid-rise towers and premium commercial, retail, and F&B spaces. The district aims to redefine mixed-use developments, offering over 200 retail and F&B outlets, luxury accommodations, and a sustainable community upon completion.
