The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has unveiled the agenda for the inaugural Dubai Diamond Week, a landmark event bringing together the global diamond industry from 11th to 15th November.
This week-long event will feature three major industry gatherings: the Dubai Diamond Conference (DDC), the Kimberley Process (KP) Plenary Session, and the Jewellery, Gem & Technology in Dubai (JGT Dubai) trade show.
The biennial DDC will commence on 11th November under the theme "Thriving Under Pressure: Navigating the New Global Paradigms." The conference will explore critical challenges such as supply chain pressures, market dynamics, regulatory changes, and the importance of transparency and traceability. Keynote speakers include Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Al Cook, CEO of De Beers Group.
JGT Dubai, one of the region’s premier trade shows, will follow from 12th-14th November, showcasing a range of gemstone dealers, jewellery manufacturers, and tech solutions. Since its launch in 2022, JGT Dubai has become a key B2B event in the global gem and jewellery calendar.
The event will conclude with the KP Plenary Session from 12th-15th November. Chaired by DMCC’s Ahmed Bin Sulayem, this session will review progress in regulating the diamond trade and preventing conflict diamonds.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem remarked,
"With Dubai’s diamond trade growing 12% year-on-year to nearly 120 million carats, Diamond Week will foster crucial discussions to shape the future of the industry."
Now in its sixth edition, the DDC is a pivotal event driving Dubai’s rise as a leading diamond hub.
