dnata Logistics, a leading global freight forwarder and logistics services provider, has commenced construction on a cutting-edge 57,000m² warehouse in Dubai South.
Strategically located near Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), the AED 100 million (US$ 27 million) facility underscores Dubai's growing role as an international logistics hub.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by HE Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, and Steve Allen, CEO of dnata, alongside other senior executives.
The warehouse, set to open in November 2025, will process up to 400,000 tonnes of cargo annually, expanding dnata Logistics’ storage capacity by 50% and creating over 50 direct jobs. Equipped with advanced technologies such as automated storage systems and AI-driven warehouse management, it promises enhanced operational efficiency for the growing logistics demand.
Aligned with dnata’s global sustainability strategy, the facility incorporates solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and smart HVAC systems, aiming for LEED certification within its first year of operation.
Sean Bradley, Managing Director of dnata Logistics, expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating,
“This advanced facility marks a pivotal step in our growth, enabling us to deliver superior services while prioritizing sustainability and innovation.”
Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District at Dubai South, highlighted the project’s significance, noting,
“dnata’s new facility will enhance Dubai South’s thriving ecosystem and solidify the emirate’s status as a global logistics hub.”
This initiative builds on dnata Logistics’ extensive investments in infrastructure and services, reflecting its commitment to meeting evolving market needs. The company operates across 11 locations in the UAE, offering comprehensive freight forwarding, warehousing, and supply chain solutions to partners worldwide.
