dnata is delivering large-scale on-ground support for the Dubai Airshow 2025, deploying over 100 ground support vehicles to manage aircraft movement and logistics across Dubai World Central.
The company’s 111 motorised assets, including pushback tractors, power units, and passenger steps, are ensuring smooth operations throughout the week-long event.
Jaffar Dawood, Divisional Senior Vice President of UAE Airport Operations at dnata, said the operation reflects the same precision applied to daily airport activities.
“There’s an entire choreography behind every aircraft movement at the Dubai Airshow,”
he noted, highlighting the company’s longstanding role in supporting the event.
Coordinating the Airshow requires moving heavy equipment between Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central while keeping regular operations running. This is managed through dnata Technical Services and dnata Logistics, whose fleets handle transport and scheduling to avoid disruptions.
As part of its sustainability push, dnata is a key contributor to the event’s Sustainability Showcase, displaying 14 eco-friendly ground support units such as electric loaders, solar-powered boarding ramps, and towbarless tractors. These units, already part of dnata’s operational fleet, reduce emissions and fuel use at Dubai’s airports.
The company is also showcasing innovations like autonomous baggage tractors and AI-powered safety systems designed to enhance ground handling efficiency and safety.
Dnata’s participation aligns with its record performance in 2025, with aircraft handling up 15 percent and cargo volumes rising 3 percent globally. The company is furthering its $110 million investment to expand and modernise its ground support equipment, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and a sustainable aviation future.
