Dawood Al Hajri, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, inaugurated DOMOTEX Middle East 2024 and engaged with industry leaders, exploring the latest trends in flooring technology, sustainability, and design. The event, attracting over 100 industry participants, serves as a premier platform for planners, architects, interior designers, construction companies, and property investors. Al Hajri emphasized the event's role in facilitating business agreements amidst Dubai's thriving trade ecosystem, crucial for ongoing real estate projects in the region. DOMOTEX Middle East 2024 highlights innovation and collaboration in the floor covering industry, reflecting Dubai's dynamic trade environment.

The event is poised to set new benchmarks for creativity and sustainability in the flooring sector, display the latest in flooring solutions and facilitate meaningful interactions among professionals from across the globe.

Sonia Wedell-Castellano, Global Director of DOMOTEX at Deutsche Messe AG, emphasizes the flooring industry's vibrant dynamics and Dubai's strategic significance as a trading hub. DOMOTEX Middle East serves as a crucial platform for showcasing innovations, fostering collaborations, and setting trends. This year's highlight includes the special exhibition of Heritage Carpet by Ghanbarinia, featuring 45 extraordinary antique handmade carpets focusing on Middle Eastern and Islamic art. Recognized as the largest collection of its kind globally, this showcase is a must-see for art and culture enthusiasts, featuring premium museum-quality rugs valued at US$500 million.

The 'Big Four' of the flooring industry—Merinos, Oriental Weavers, Solomon Carpets, and Al Abdullatif—came together for the first time in Dubai, marking a significant historical moment and creating unique growth opportunities in the region. Other notable exhibitors included Azim Silk, Almas Kavir, Heritage Carpet, Oerlikon, Zartosht, and Royal Gold.
