DPC and Dubai Media Academy Host AI-Focused Training Programme for Media Professionals
The Dubai Press Club (DPC), in partnership with Dubai Media Academy, recently conducted a training programme to explore the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in media strategies.
The initiative featured a series of knowledge sessions and interactive workshops aimed at enhancing the capabilities of media professionals and advancing the adoption of AI-driven solutions in the region’s media sector.
Organised as part of DPC’s vision to anticipate digital trends and foster innovation, the programme equipped media practitioners with insights and skills to create transformative solutions that drive the sector’s growth. Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of DPC, remarked,
“This programme reflects DPC’s vision to foster an innovative media landscape and empower talents with new skills that drive the growth of the region’s media sector.”
Muna Bu Samra, Director of Dubai Media Academy, highlighted the collaboration’s significance, stating,
“The programme provided an ideal platform for media professionals to design innovative AI solutions while exchanging expertise and knowledge.”
The sessions addressed AI’s potential and challenges, such as combating misinformation and ensuring fairness in AI-driven practices. One session, titled ‘From Lab to Newsroom: Success Stories of AI in Media’, showcased practical AI applications from industry leaders like Forbes, CNBC Arabia, and Dubai Media. Another session, ‘The Turning Point: Addressing AI’s Growing Challenges in Media’, featured experts from organisations including Sky News Arabia and Dell Technologies.
The programme underscored the shared commitment of DPC and Dubai Media Academy to foster innovation, address AI-related risks, and build a future-ready media ecosystem.
