Dragon Mart, the world’s largest Chinese mall and trading hub outside China, celebrated its 20th anniversary with a Guinness World Record™ for the largest fortune cookie ever made. Weighing 2.286 kilograms and measuring 30 cm in height and 58 cm in length, the cookie was crafted by baking instructors from the International Centre for Culinary Arts (ICCA) Dubai.

As part of the milestone celebrations, a 4-meter-tall and 6-meter-wide fortune cookie sculpture was unveiled in the Main Hall, symbolizing Chinese cultural heritage and the mall’s success in Dubai. Dragon Mart also launched a fortune cookie treasure hunt, inviting shoppers to find 20 hidden fortune cookies across the mall, with exclusive prizes available until January 8, 2025.

The festivities feature traditional Chinese cultural performances, including Ribbon, Fan, and Dragon Dances, a Bag Calligraphy demonstration, and workshops on crafting Chinese lanterns. Activities run daily from December 20 to 24, with workshops continuing until December 28.

Since its 2004 opening, Dragon Mart has evolved into a cornerstone of Dubai’s retail sector, hosting over 6,000 shops and welcoming more than 15 million annual visitors. This celebration highlights its role in bridging cultures and reinforcing its position as a vibrant retail and cultural destination. Anniversary activities, including the record-breaking fortune cookie display, continue until January 12, 2025, offering entertainment and unique experiences for all visitors.
