Drydocks World has launched construction of its new head office in Dubai, marking a significant step in the company’s transformation as a global leader in marine and offshore services.
The facility is set to centralise operations, enhance collaboration, and reinforce its commitment to innovation and sustainability.
The modern 44,779-square-metre complex is being built on a 13,390-square-metre plot adjacent to the existing shipyard and will house nearly 700 employees. Its strategic location near, but separate from, fabrication zones improves accessibility for clients while maintaining strict security. Direct access from Jumeirah Beach Road will reduce congestion and create a more welcoming environment.
Scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027, the head office aligns with DP World’s vision to develop world-class, sustainable workplaces across its portfolio. The facility is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, featuring smart technologies, energy-efficient systems, advanced safety infrastructure, and multi-purpose spaces for employees and clients.
The development also includes a multi-level parking structure with around 500 spaces, including 50 electric vehicle charging stations, supporting DP World’s net-zero carbon goal by 2050. Open-plan workspaces, dining areas, fitness facilities, and prayer rooms will foster collaboration, wellbeing, and innovation.
DP World Chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem said the project reflects a wider strategy to invest in smart, sustainable infrastructure that strengthens Dubai’s role as a global hub for trade and innovation.
Drydocks World CEO Captain Rado Antolovic emphasized the facility’s role in consolidating teams and driving operational efficiency while reinforcing sustainable growth.
The new head office complements DP World’s global headquarters at Expo City Dubai, both set for completion in 2027, demonstrating the Group’s commitment to future-ready workplaces and Dubai’s ongoing evolution as a centre for global trade and maritime excellence.
This development highlights Drydocks World’s legacy in Dubai’s maritime industry while setting a benchmark for sustainable and technologically advanced workplaces in the UAE.
