DSF Launches Exciting New Social Media Dance Challenge That's Set to Get the World Moving!
To celebrate the global launch of the iconic ‘Ya Salam Ya Dubai’ song, a musical tribute to the ever captivating city of Dubai at the start of a brand-new year and showcasing the talents of Arabic music legend Rashed Al Majed and singer, songwriter and multi Grammy award-winning music producer Red One, music lovers are invited to show off their moves with the super-fun #YaSalamYaDubai dance challenge.
The exciting social media dance contest is guaranteed to have everyone on their feet and in the groove. Created to reflect the spirit of Dubai, DSF and to kick-start a positive and mood-enhancing movement that can be felt across the world, everyone is invited to try the new #yasalamyadubai dance challenge. All of the moves are easy to follow, quick to learn and, most importantly, fun to perform!
Launched on 7 January and running until 14 February, the #YaSalamYaDubai dance challenge includes voucher rewards to the value of AED30,000 to be won, with weekly prizes for the best videos uploaded to social media.
Choreographed by musical maestro RedOne’s team of dancers, the #YaSalamYaDubai dance challenge is open to residents and visitors of all dancing abilities, whether they think they’re the next J-Lo, have moves like Hrithik Roshan or have always wanted to swing like Shakira.
Individuals, groups and companies are invited to record their own #yasalamyadubai dance challenge and be among the first to be part of a super online craze that’s set to take the internet by storm.
The #YaSalamYaDubai dance challenge is a great opportunity for people to show their support for Dubai, an amazing city where the fun never stops. There’s no time to wait – call your colleagues, family and friends, set your phone’s camera to record for 30 seconds and start dancing!
Videos can be posted using @dsfsocial on Instagram, on TikTok using @discoverdubai, or to any other social media platform of choice using the hashtags #YaSalamYaDubai, #MyDSF and #MyDubai.
Visit @discoverdubai on Tiktok to learn the steps to the #yasalamyadubai dance challenge. A first place, runner up and third place winner will be announced weekly. The competition will run for five weeks.
All videos must adhere to the rules and regulations regarding health and safety measures for Covid-19 in the UAE.
The track ‘Ya Salam Ya Dubai’ was released in partnership with the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) and the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) and is featured on Visit Dubai’s official YouTube channels and distributed by Platinum Records.
