du Pay, the digital financial services arm of du, has expanded its partnership with talabat to become the digital wallet and payment platform for the company’s fleet partners in the UAE, giving riders a single place to access, manage and use their money.
A signing ceremony took place at talabat’s office, attended by Roberto Mancone, Chief Executive Officer at du Pay, and Simonida Subotic, Vice President and Managing Director for the UAE at talabat. The agreement follows strong adoption of du Pay among talabat riders and marks the next stage of the partnership.
Fleet partners will now manage payments through one wallet solution instead of handling them separately through different providers. For riders, that means a simpler experience and wider access to digital financial services.
Each du Pay account includes an IBAN and a free digital debit card with cashback on spending, along with access to cash loans. Riders can send money home, pay bills and recharge their mobile balance, including 50% extra balance on du prepaid recharges.
Mancone said reaching thousands of riders every month shows the strength of the partnership, and that du Pay aims to build on that scale. Subotic said the partnership has already allowed riders to receive monthly payments from fleet partners digitally, and the new phase gives talabat a more streamlined way to manage them.
