Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd has announced an agreement to acquire 10 new, narrow-body, next-generation aircraft in a transaction valued at approximately $0.5 billion.
The aircraft, leased to four airlines across four countries, reflect DAE’s strategic focus on fuel-efficient and advanced technology assets.
In addition to the acquisition, DAE has managed the sale of equity interests in 36 aircraft, facilitating a transition of assets from existing investors to new ones. These aircraft, part of a managed portfolio for institutional investors, are overseen by DAE’s Aircraft Investor Services (AIS) division. This specialized team supports a global investor base, managing over 100 aircraft through diverse investment strategies.
Firoz Tarapore, CEO of DAE, highlighted the significance of the new additions, stating,
“These young aircraft with long remaining lease terms are expected to be favorable to our portfolio’s metrics once delivered.”
He also emphasized DAE’s growing industry reputation, noting that the AIS team has become a trusted partner for investors seeking opportunities in aircraft assets.
All transactions are expected to conclude by the end of 2024, reinforcing DAE’s commitment to expanding its fleet and strengthening relationships with both new and existing airline customers.
