Dubai Aerospace Enterprise Strengthens Partnership with K2 Aviation in Aircraft Deal

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd, a leading global aviation services corporation, has signed a definitive agreement with K2 Aviation, a mid- to end-of-life aviation investor, to sell seven Airbus and Boeing aircraft currently on lease to six airline customers.

In addition, DAE has entered into a servicing agreement with K2 Aviation, under which it will manage the leased assets. The agreement encompasses lease and credit management, aircraft remarketing, disposition, and asset management services, reinforcing DAE’s Aircraft Investor Services (AIS) expertise.

Firoz Tarapore, CEO of DAE, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating,

“DAE has a strong and longstanding relationship with the management team of K2 Aviation. We are excited to deepen our relationship through this transaction.”

Charles Graham, Chairman of K2 Aviation, highlighted the significance of the deal, stating,

“This acquisition launches K2 Aviation with a mix of mid-life assets leased to reputable global airlines. It also strengthens our valued relationship with DAE, a team we’ve worked with for years.”

K2 Aviation aims to expand its portfolio of mid-life assets through 2025.

DAE’s AIS group manages over 100 aircraft worth $4 billion, acting as a servicer for institutional and financial investors. Its portfolio includes seven structured aircraft portfolio transactions, demonstrating its robust asset management capabilities.

This partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to leveraging expertise and driving growth in the aviation sector.
