Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ) and Forbes Middle East will organise the inaugural Future Growth Nexus Summit on November 23 at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ).

Coinciding with DAFZ’s 30th anniversary, the summit will bring together government officials, global company leaders, investors and experts to examine the future of international trade, supply chains and logistics. Discussions will also cover the role of technology, artificial intelligence, sustainability and economic policy in strengthening competitiveness and cross-border trade.

The line-up includes 27 speakers, among them Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohammed Alzarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ, and Amna Rashid Lootah, Director General of DAFZ. Executives from GE Aerospace, Maersk, dnata and Aramex will also speak, with representatives from DHL Supply Chain, FedEx, Airbus, Thales, Tradeling and the World Free Zones Organization taking part.

The programme is built around four themes: future-ready logistics, sustainability as strategy, the digital trade revolution, and investment and innovation. Al Zeyoudi will deliver the opening keynote on smart trade policies for integrated economic zones, followed by Alzarooni on how trade hubs accelerated Dubai’s growth over three decades.

Sessions will look at resilient supply chains, the future of aviation in the Middle East, emissions reduction in logistics, digital marketplaces, and the use of AI, robotics and predictive analytics. Panels will also address the impact of insurance costs and price volatility on trade, and how small businesses and startups can grow within integrated economic zones.

Lootah said the summit supports the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, to double the emirate’s economy by 2033. Khuloud Al Omian, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Middle East, said it aims to connect technology, capital and policy in practical dialogue.
