Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ), part of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), has announced the inauguration of AWOT Global Logistics Corporation’s first regional headquarters, marking a significant milestone in Dubai’s growing role as a global logistics and supply chain hub.
The move reflects AWOT’s confidence in Dubai’s business environment, strategic location, and advanced logistics infrastructure.
The headquarters was officially inaugurated by senior representatives from both organisations, highlighting the strategic importance of the expansion for AWOT’s regional operations. From its new base at DAFZ, AWOT will oversee and support its logistics activities across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, leveraging Dubai as a central gateway connecting Asia with regional and international markets.
DAFZ officials stated that the establishment of AWOT’s regional headquarters aligns with Dubai’s broader economic vision, including the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of the emirate’s economy and position it among the world’s top three global cities. The freezone continues to attract leading international companies by offering an integrated business ecosystem, proximity to Dubai International Airport, and streamlined regulatory and customs processes.
AWOT’s management highlighted Dubai’s ease of doing business, strong connectivity, and advanced logistics capabilities as key factors behind the decision. The company views the new headquarters as a strategic commitment to long-term regional growth and closer engagement with customers and partners.
Headquartered in China, AWOT employs more than 1,500 people and operates a wide international network, including 55 self-operated locations across Asia and a presence in North America and Europe. Ranked among the world’s top 10 air freight companies in 2025, AWOT handles significant global cargo volumes and maintains partnerships with major airlines, shipping companies, and global enterprises.
From its Dubai base, AWOT will manage air, sea, and land freight operations, cross-border logistics, specialised cargo services, and project logistics. The headquarters will also support advanced business models through cloud-based digital solutions, tracking systems, and analytics, enhancing efficiency and strengthening Dubai’s logistics ecosystem.
