Dubai Airports has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Enova, a joint venture between Majid Al Futtaim and Veolia, to enhance Emiratisation in Enova’s Facilities Management Services.
The MoU supports the UAE Cabinet’s objective of raising Emiratisation by two percent annually, with Dubai Airport committed to exceeding national Emiratisation targets through its strategic private sector partnerships. The agreement was signed by Meshari Al Bannai, Executive Vice President of Human Resources Development at Dubai Airports, and Renaud Capris, CEO of Enova, in the presence of several senior leaders.
Under the partnership, Enova will activate its Emiratisation Plan, which aims to increase Emiratisation by 15 percent by 2025 onwards. Dubai Airports and Enova will allocate positions to graduate trainees, fresh graduates, and experienced professionals in technical, administrative, and supervisory roles. The recruitment plan will be rolled out in phases, ensuring UAE nationals receive high-quality on-the-job training.
Meshari Al Bannai said the partnership with Enova demonstrates the airport's commitment to supporting the UAE Government's initiatives, including the NAFIS Programme and driving local economic development. Khalifa Bin Braik, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Asset Management Business, said the company is fully committed to supporting the NAFIS programme and welcoming 3,000 Emiratis into its workforce by 2026. Renaud Capris added that the partnership with Dubai Airports will serve to develop the national workforce and drive sustainable growth in the UAE.
Enova has been prioritising the employment of local talent, hiring 30 UAE nationals in on-site operations and support services within its Dubai headquarters in 2022. The company remains dedicated to advancing Emirati human capital throughout the UAE. The partnership between Dubai Airports and Enova will support and upskill the national workforce and drive the UAE's larger goals of accelerating national development and boosting the local economy.
