Dubai Airports, the operator of Dubai International (DXB), hosted the Airport Excellence Awards 2024, marking the return of these prestigious awards after a four-year break.
Held at the Park Hyatt, the awards honoured DXB’s airline and commercial partners across 15 categories, highlighting achievements in customer service, operational excellence, sustainability, and more.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, expressed his gratitude, saying,
"The Airport Excellence Awards are our way of recognising the phenomenal commitment and vision our partners bring to DXB every day."
Griffiths emphasized the teamwork that keeps DXB at the forefront of global air travel, especially as the airport anticipates welcoming over 93 million guests this year.
Airlines recognized included Lufthansa Group for Excellence in Customer Service, Air India for Excellence in Operations, IndiGo for Sustainability Initiatives, Saudia for the Above & Beyond Award, flydubai for Community Development, and Emirates for Inclusive Travel. In the commercial sector, JCDecaux won Partnership Excellence, McDonald’s was honoured for Sustainability, Uber for Guest Experience, Five Guys for Marketing Campaigns, and Emirates Leisure Retail received the Above & Beyond Excellence Award.
The evening, hosted by Kris Fade, featured lively entertainment from DJ Ruben and a performance by NotSoHuman, celebrating the resilience and innovation within DXB’s partner community. The awards underscored Dubai Airports' commitment to enhancing the passenger experience and setting new industry standards.
