Dubai Airports, dnata and flydubai came together at Dubai Airshow 2025 to launch the world’s first Sustainability Showcase, presenting a fully sustainable aircraft turnaround built on innovation, advanced technology and broad industry cooperation.
The initiative was created by the three Dubai aviation leaders alongside more than 30 partners, aiming to demonstrate how collective action can accelerate the sector’s transition to net zero. The display highlights practical zero and low emission solutions that improve efficiency while cutting environmental impact.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said the Airshow’s forward-looking theme reflects the ambition of the project. He noted that the Sustainable Turnaround Showcase is a real-world example of progress made possible through shared responsibility and collaboration.
Steve Allen, CEO of dnata, said Dubai continues to stand out as one of the most future-focused aviation markets. He highlighted dnata’s new generation of ground support equipment as evidence that innovation and sustainability can advance together, supported by a green first approach that prioritises clean technologies and alternative fuels.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said the initiative reinforces the airline’s commitment to responsible growth. He added that teamwork across the oneDXB alliance and investment in technology will help drive a more efficient and environmentally conscious future for aviation.
