The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) have announced the second edition of their Joint Climate Finance Conference, set to take place on 26 November in Dubai.
Centred on the theme “Transforming Tomorrow: Harnessing Green Finance for Sustainability”, the event marks a key step in strengthening cooperation between two of the world’s leading financial hubs to advance sustainable finance across the Middle East and Asia.
Mark Steward, Chief Executive of the DFSA, said the partnership reflects a shared vision for a more connected and resilient financial future. He added that the initiative aligns with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to position the emirate as a global leader in sustainable innovation and finance.
Eddie Yue, Chief Executive of the HKMA, highlighted the conference as a milestone in deepening collaboration along the Asia–Middle East Corridor, enabling greater capital and knowledge exchange to support sustainable growth in both regions.
The event will feature a fireside chat between Steward and Darryl Chan, Deputy Chief Executive of the HKMA, exploring how technology, policy, and collaboration can accelerate climate finance and the transition to net zero.
Prominent speakers are expected to address key topics including the greening of the Asia–Middle East Corridor and the role of tokenisation in driving the global transition. The conference will also unveil findings from joint DFSA–HKMA research on how sustainable debt can expand access to climate finance in emerging markets.
