KHDA Announces Eid Al Adha Break for Private Schools in Dubai

In a recent announcement by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), all private educational institutions, including schools, universities, and nurseries, within the emirate of Dubai, are set to resume operations on Wednesday, June 19.

This decision comes following a scheduled closure for Eid Al Adha, which will see these institutions closed from Saturday, June 15, to Tuesday, June 18.

The Dubai government had previously declared Eid Al Adha holidays for government employees, spanning from Saturday, June 15, through Tuesday, June 18, with official duties set to recommence on Wednesday, June 19. Similarly, the Federal Authority of Human Resources has also announced Eid holidays for government personnel, aligning with the aforementioned dates.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has confirmed that the private sector will observe Eid Al Adha holidays from Saturday, June 15, to Tuesday, June 18. Paid leave will be granted to employees across the UAE's public sector during this period, in observance of Arafah Day and Eid Al Adha.
