As the holy month of Ramadan nears its end, Dubai Municipality has announced the official operating hours for slaughterhouses across the emirate during Eid Al Fitr 2025.
According to the municipality, Al Qusais, Al Quoz, Al Lisaili, and Hatta abattoirs will be open from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM on the first day of Eid. On the second and third days of Eid, these slaughterhouses will operate from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The announcement comes as the UAE’s Moon Sighting Committee prepares to observe the crescent on March 29. If the crescent is sighted that evening (Ramadan 29), Eid Al Fitr will begin on March 30. If not, it will start on March 31, as Islamic months last either 29 or 30 days, depending on lunar visibility.
Earlier, the UAE government confirmed Eid holiday dates for both public and private sector employees. Some government workers, particularly in Sharjah, where Friday is a weekend, may receive up to six days off for the holiday.
These measures ensure smooth operations during Eid while accommodating the needs of residents preparing for festive celebrations.
