Dubai authorities have declared the reopening of public parks and night beaches. The closure of these facilities was a precautionary measure taken by the Dubai Municipality on Sunday evening in response to severe weather conditions, including heavy rains and strong winds that impacted the Emirate. During the weekend, the civic body received over 100 emergency reports due to uprooted trees and flooded roads caused by adverse weather conditions.
Municipal employees addressed 85 reports of fallen trees in residential areas and on roads.
Residents of gated communities in Dubai previously shared with Khaleej Times their observations of damages caused by the weather. One resident reported fallen trees in her neighborhood, while another mentioned damage to his garden.
