In a significant step towards enhancing Dubai’s tourism and rural infrastructure, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has approved the master plan for the Saih Al Salam Scenic Route, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The plan, which encompasses five service and recreational stations, aims to elevate the tourist experience for both residents and visitors through partnerships with the private sector.
During the period from 2024 to 2028, Sheikh Hamdan also sanctioned 37 development projects in Dubai's rural areas, with an estimated investment of AED 390 million.
"These initiatives reflect our commitment to transforming Dubai’s countryside into a top destination, bolstering our status as an attractive living and working environment,"
Sheikh Hamdan stated.
The Saih Al Salam plan includes the development of cycling tracks totaling 156.61 kilometers and various facilities to enrich the visitor experience. Notable features will include a traditional market at the Main Hub Station near Al Qudra Lakes, offering local products and an open-air cinema.
Additionally, the Wildlife Station will provide hot air balloon rides and luxury camps, while the Adventure Station will cater to outdoor enthusiasts with an adventure park and fitness trails. A Cultural Experience Station will offer traditional camel rides and local cuisine, and the Desert Adventure Station will host desert sports activities.
As part of the broader Dubai Countryside and Rural Areas Development Plan, 18 new services will be introduced in the first phase, including parks, healthcare facilities, and community services, all designed to improve the quality of life for residents and attract more visitors to Dubai’s scenic areas. This plan aligns with the ambitious Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, promising sustainable growth and enriched experiences in Dubai’s countryside for years to come.
