Dubai honoured three pioneering international government initiatives with the global edition of the Future Fit Seal, recognising projects that demonstrate exceptional readiness to navigate future challenges and deliver measurable impact.

H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, presented the awards on the opening day of the World Governments Summit 2026, held from 3 to 5 February. The ceremony was attended by Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future and Vice-Chair of the Summit, alongside senior global leaders and officials.

More than 1,500 projects from over 100 countries were submitted for the second cycle of the global Future Fit Seal. Three initiatives were selected: Diella, Minister of Artificial Intelligence from the Republic of Albania; the Port of Busan from the Republic of Korea; and the National Precision Medicine Programme from the Republic of Singapore.

The awards were received by Delina Ibrahimaj, Albania’s Minister of Economy and Innovation; Jeong Wondong, Vice President of the Management Division at Busan Port; and Dr. Seow Shih Wee, Senior Director of Corporate Services at Precision Health Research Singapore.

Al Roumi said the global edition of the Seal highlights proactive leadership models that strengthen global preparedness for the future. She added that the initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to embedding future readiness within government operations and supports the Summit’s mission as a platform for future-focused solutions.

The Future Fit Seal evaluates projects across six priority sectors, including the new economy, advanced technology, sustainability, Fourth Industrial Revolution applications, food and water security, and quality of life.

Launched internationally in 2025, the Seal builds on a UAE national programme that recognises bold, practical initiatives delivering clear, data-driven outcomes through advanced technologies and future skills development.
