On the occasion of the International Day of Education, Dubai Cares, a civil society organization associated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications (UN DGC), announced a new collaboration with Marriott International to launch the 'Education for Children' initiative.
Starting this February, guests staying at participating Marriott properties across the UAE will have the opportunity to contribute USD 1 per night to support Dubai Cares’ mission of providing quality education to underprivileged children worldwide.
The proceeds from the initiative will fund Dubai Cares’ global education programs, addressing barriers that hinder children and youth from accessing education and reaching their full potential.
His Excellency Dr. Tariq Al Gurg, CEO and Vice-Chairman of Dubai Cares, highlighted the collaboration’s significance, stating,
“This partnership with Marriott International demonstrates how the hospitality sector can work with philanthropy to drive global human development. By combining Marriott’s extensive reach with Dubai Cares’ expertise, we are shaping a more equitable future through education.”
Sandeep Walia, Chief Operating Officer at Marriott International, echoed this sentiment, saying,
“Through the 'Education for Children' initiative, we are empowering guests to contribute to a cause aligned with our values of community support and social responsibility. We are honored to support Dubai Cares in their mission to transform children’s lives through education.”
